Teams
Accounting & Administration
The Accounting Department handles every aspect of Merritt’s finances, including cash management, building and maintaining our banking relationships, debt restructuring and financing, budgeting, rent collection, financial reporting and managing our tenant database.
Customer Service
Merritt’s Customer Service Department is the main point of contact for the more than 1,200 customers in our portfolio. We offer 24-hour “on-call” service and computerized tracking of all customer requests, so we can provide a quick response time, same-day service and speedy resolution to most of your challenges.
Information Services
Our Information Services Department provides information, data, video conferencing and one-on-one technology support to all of Merritt Properties’ 150 employees. We are responsible for implementing new technology and communication solutions, as well as maintaining Merritt’s information technology infrastructure. This department also manages Merritt’s in-building technology solutions and our multiple servers, which host data and digital services.
Interior Construction
Our Interior Construction Department coordinates and constructs lease alterations, prepares construction estimates and budgets and conducts for-fee alterations, as requested.
Interior Design
Merritt’s Interior Design Department works closely with prospective and new tenants to develop a space plan that reflects each project's unique program requirements. The designers produce construction documents including: detailed floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, power and communication plans, finish schedules and any required cabinet elevations or details. They field measure existing conditions, update and manage computer drawing files, create and format the space available database and assists other teams with graphic requirements related to sites, buildings and interiors.
Land Development & Construction
Our Land Development and Construction Department coordinates all aspects of land development, taking projects from acquisition, design, budgeting and permitting, through construction and occupancy. We work collaboratively with our customers to determine the best design approach for each building site, and provide value engineering, scheduling and construction management services to ensure Merritt’s continuing reputation for quality construction. By cultivating strong partnerships with design consultants and subcontractors, we instill a sense of pride in our product that leads to long-term satisfaction for our customers. Additionally, we are leading the way towards environmentally responsible development by incorporating sustainable practices and technologies in all of our new projects.
Leasing
Our Leasing Department develops relationships directly with both customers and the larger brokerage community to manage leasing, renewals and design-build opportunities for industrial, flex and office properties.
Marketing
Merritt’s Marketing Department is tasked with communicating the company’s core values and credo of Creating Homes for Businesses. We direct and facilitate internal and external company communications and events, design all marketing and advertising materials and serve as Merritt’s media and public relations contact. The Marketing Department also conducts customer-based research and directs the company’s philanthropic activities.
Merritt Construction Services
Merritt Construction Services is the construction and development arm of Merritt Properties. In addition to the building portfolio created for Merritt Properties, this experienced team has an impressive list of build-to-suit customers. Known for delivering buildings on time and on budget, the Merritt Construction Services team works closely with each client to facilitate all aspects of site development, permitting, value engineering, budget management and scheduling. Over the years, Merritt Construction Services has also cultivated strong partnerships with design consultants and sub-contractors, which has helped instill the Merritt philosophy of designing and building properties for the long term.
