Scott E. Dorsey
Scott is Chairman & CEO of Merritt Properties and has occupied nearly every position in the company since joining in 1972. He focuses primarily on strategic planning and the long-term goals of the company in addition to overseeing all of the day-to-day operations of the business. He also serves as the point person for Merritt’s interface with financial institutions, government agencies, economic development organizations and industry groups. In addition to his service on the board of directors for the Maryland Economic Development Corporation, The Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore, the M&T Bank Baltimore-Washington Directors’ Advisory Council, the Maryland Chamber of Commerce President’s Advisory Council, and Maryland Business for Responsive Government, Scott sits on the Board of Trustees for Junior Achievement of Central Maryland and the Board of Directors of Young Life – Urban Baltimore. Scott also maintains memberships with the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), the Institute of Real Estate Management, and the Urban Land Institute. Scott received a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University and an MBA from Loyola College in Maryland.- Better Business Bureau – BBB-Greater MD
