GREEN-BUILD

Since the company’s inception, our goal has been to build a better building with each new development project. Utilizing the latest technologies and improved materials, we provide the best possible working environment for our customers.

As a natural evolution of this continued commitment, Merritt now finds itself at the forefront of green building in the Baltimore area. Since the creation of the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System, Merritt has quickly become an industry leader in the field. Our first certified LEED Gold project, building II of Meadowridge 95 is located on a former brownfields site being transformed into a Class A office park. Merritt’s second registered LEED project is Schilling Green, a Class A office redevelopment in Hunt Valley, MD. In addition, the company has several registered LEED projects currently in development in Northern Virginia and the Baltimore metro area.
