As a natural evolution of this continued commitment, Merritt now finds itself at the forefront of green building in the Baltimore area. Since the creation of the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System, Merritt has quickly become an industry leader in the field. Our first LEED Core & Shell/pre-certified Silver project, building II of Meadowridge 95 is located on a former brownfields site being transformed into a Class A office park. Merritt’s second registered LEED project is Schilling Green, a Class A office redevelopment in Hunt Valley, MD. In addition, the company has several registered LEED projects currently in development in Northern Virginia and the Baltimore metro area.
