Four Veteran-Owned Companies Set to Open at Merritt Business Park at Quantico Corporate Center

Merritt Properties announced today that it has signed four new leases with veteran-owned companies at Merritt Business Park at Quantico Corporate Center, located along I-95 in Stafford County, Virginia. Full Distance Brewing, Nova Systems, Two Marines Moving and The Continuum Group are all expected to launch their new locations within Merritt Business Park before summer 2023. Located less than ten minutes away from the United States Marine Corps Base Quantico, the 171,000 SF business park is seeing an increased demand in businesses seeking government contracts, veteran recruitment, and versatile warehouse space.  

Ferrin Moore, US Army veteran and founder of pharmaceutical distribution company, Nova Systems, believes relocating to the 7,000 SF warehouse space at Merritt Business Park provides a prime location for reaching their target market. “We chose to relocate to Quantico not only for the quality of Merritt Properties’ warehouses, but also for its certified HUBZone location,” Moore explained. 

Newly constructed in 2022, Merritt Business Park at Quantico Corporate Center consists of two single-story, light industrial buildings located right off I-95 and conveniently within the thriving Quantico Corporate Center area. Each building offers 18’ clear heights, access to an extensive fiber-optic network, loading docks and drive-in capabilities for warehouse users, and proximity to a range of local amenities.  

Adding to the list of local amenities and attractions in the Quantico area, Full Distance Brewing will open its doors in spring 2023. According to CEO and former Marine Doug Meyer, the 8,000 SF niche brewery will embody his two biggest passions: craft beer and marine-worthy athletic endurance.

The firm has leased 7,200 SF for their new location at Merritt Business Park. 

One of the park’s newest tenants, Two Marines Moving, has a personal connection with its new location that encouraged the moving and storage company to relocate its headquarters from Fairfax. Not only does the business share a birthday with the US Marines Corps (November 10), its Founder and President Nicholas Baucom served in the Marines Corps as an infantryman and a sergeant. “Relocating our headquarters to Merritt Business Park was a strategic decision for the company and the thousands of veterans that we’ve employed over the last 14 years,” Baucom shared. “We’re excited to join the Merritt family at Merritt Business Park.” 

Merritt Business Park at Quantico Corporate Center also welcomes another moving company, Top Notch Moving Services, scheduled to open their doors this year in May. The military-approved residential and commercial moving company recently relocated from Alexandria to a 15,000 SF space at Merritt Business Park. “Being 10 minutes away from the Quantico marine base will allow for us to provide a better storage experience for our existing clients, both military and civilian,” shares Top Notch Moving Services president and CEO Rimsey Balthazar.
