Merritt Properties Acquires Beach Commerce Center
Merritt Properties announces the acquisition of Beach Commerce Center, a multi-tenant industrial property located at 11840 Beach Boulevard in Jacksonville, Florida. This addition further strengthens Merritt’s Jacksonville presence and expands its footprint in the desirable Southside submarket.
The 46,000-square-foot property, zoned Industrial Business Park (IBP), offers a mix of showroom, warehouse, and distribution space across multiple suites. The building features 20-foot clear heights, 15 dock-high doors, two drive-in doors, and a 130-foot truck court, providing flexibility for a range of business needs.
“Beach Commerce Center is a great addition to our Jacksonville portfolio, offering highly functional, small-bay space in a well-established corridor along Beach Boulevard,” said Pat Franklin of Merritt Properties. “With its existing tenancy and prime location, the property is well-positioned to meet the continued demand for light industrial and showroom space. We’re excited to build on this foundation, support the needs of our tenants, and attract additional users in the years to come.”
Situated along Beach Boulevard, the property benefits from excellent visibility and convenient access to Interstate 295, placing it within one of Jacksonville’s most active commercial corridors. The surrounding area is seeing strong demand for small-bay industrial and flex space, driven by nearby residential growth and proximity to destinations such as St. Johns Town Center.
Beach Commerce Center is 75 percent occupied and currently home to companies including The Floor Club, Urban Technologies, and FL Furniture.
This acquisition marks another step in Merritt Properties’ ongoing expansion in Jacksonville, where the company owns and operates Merritt at Gate Parkway, Imeson Landing Business Park, and Magnolia Park, and land for the development of Oakleaf Commerce Center. Merritt continues to pursue additional development opportunities throughout Northeast Florida.
Daniel Burkhardt and Alex Caliel of NAIHallmark represented the seller.
